Research and stewardship across two shores

Αινείας-Enea was founded in Rhodes as a non-profit association for speleological research and for the conservation and promotion of the karst and underground environment. We work together with local authorities, universities and speleological associations in Greece and Italy, with particular attention to the exchange of knowledge between the two countries.

Our field of work covers both natural caves and artificial cavities — aqueducts, mines, shelters, places of worship — of historical, cultural, social and anthropological interest. We study, explore and document, always with the goal of protecting what we find.
